Featuring exhibits from 71 galleries that include works by several iconic artists—Art Mumbai is set to be an invigorating experience for collectors, art enthusiasts and cultural connoisseurs from around the globe.
“Over the years, we have been dedicated and focused on Indian Modernist artists that emerged pre and post-independence,” says Tushar Jiwarajka, Director, Volte Masters. This year, the Dubai-based gallery is showcasing the exemplary works of artists who played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of Indian modern art. Ghulam Mohammed Sheikh, Jeram Patel, Krishen Khanna, Manjit Bawa, Mohan Samant, Ram Kumar, Shanko Chaudhary and Sri Lankan artist Senaka Senanayake represent the cream of the crop. “We are excited to show a very special Manjit Bawa painting titled Sufi, an extraordinary work that transcends the conventional bounds of visual expression, delving deeply into the realms of spirituality and mysticism,” Jiwarajka adds.
